First of all it is nowhere near being a theory. Please don't call it that. It is more like an absurd hypothesis that has been around for over one hundred years, however, if I could convince all the young-earth creationists to go to the North Pole and enter the Hollow Earth through the 1400 mile wide entrance that is supposed to be there, I would be eternally grateful to whoever conceived this idea.
There's even supposed to be a sun down there, according to some of the Hollow Earther's, that is six hundred miles in diameter. One group of adherents beleive that Hitler escaped into the opening at the South Pole.
As long as they don't insist it be taught in grade schools and high schools as science or as an alternative to evolution, I don't care what they believe. The Flat Earth Society is probably the most upset by the Hollow Earth Society. I'm not sure either group (Flat or Hollow) is really serious. They may all be having a good laugh at those who fear they are serious.
Since the Hollow Earth Society has always planned to send an expedition to the poles to find these 1400 mile wide holes, and has yet to do it, it is rather hard to take them seriously.

Jules Verne theorized that the hollow center of the earth was filled with dinosaurs and primitive humans.

wonderful idea but physics just doesn't agree. If the earth was really hollow, gravity at the surface would be much less.

The theory is hogwash, balderdash and nonsense, to say nothing of ridiculous, stupid. Oh, almost forgot...silly.

The basic idea is that it is complete nonsense.
