A comet taill is caused by the solar wind ionizing the particles given off by the comet. Hence the tail always points away from the Sun, regardless direction of travel of comet. In this light, I do not believe the comet can have more than one tail.

comets have only one tail, but many, many rocks and pieces of ice make up that one tail.
