i am not sure where i read this and i know it isnt all that common with lightning strike survivors, but i read somewhere that its possible that a lightning strike can cause your hair to turn white. i dont know if its supposed to be instant or if it grows out white afterwards, but i was wondering if there is any truth to this tale. im kicking around an idea for a story or book and it could tie in nicely. but i would like to know if it is true. any links to cases would definitly earn some points.

This is slightly related so I thought it might interest you: http://www.lifeslittlemysteries.com/can-fright-turn-hair-suddenly-white-0323/

Its about how being shocked or being scared can supposedly cause hair to turn white. They briefly talk about the hair follicle and what causes hair colour.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about the effects of lightning.

It sounds to me that this youngster is in basic terms pulling your chain. i've got in no way appeared into it yet i for my section have faith that rigidity does reason gray hair. Getting electrocuted might definately be annoying yet there is extra of a wager of him sticking his finger in a mild socket then to get struck through lightning.
