Like, if you were a fish would it look darker under water? Or would it stay the same?

When you go deep enough into the ocean, there is never any sunlight, so there is no difference between day and night - it is always dark.



Anywhere above that level, then - of course - there is more light during the day.

Even if the Sun was way up in the sky, if you were to go beneath the surface of the ocean several 100 meters it would be dark because the Sun's light cannot penetrate water that far.

yes it gets dark at night in the ocean. some fish come closer to the surface at night because it is safer then
